Thank you for using Pidroid, a Discord bot developed by JustAnyone. This Privacy Policy outlines the information I collect and how I use and protect your data while you interact with the Pidroid bot. By using Pidroid, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Data Collection and Usage #

1.1. User Information #

Pidroid collects and stores certain user information to provide its functionality. This includes usernames and user IDs (snowflakes) for purposes such as server leveling, Discord account linking with a TheoTown account, and processing punishments (e.g., warnings, bans) while maintaining logs about these punishments.

1.2. Server Information #

When you invite Pidroid to a server, it stores some general server information related to Pidroid’s configuration per server. This includes settings such as allowed commands, jail, modlog channels, and other relevant configurations necessary for Pidroid to operate effectively within the server environment.

1.3. Expiring Threads #

Pidroid stores thread IDs for expiring threads created by the bot.

1.4. Tag Information #

Pidroid also stores tag information per server. Tags are custom snippets of text or information created by users within a server for easy retrieval and sharing. Pidroid stores this tag information to provide the requested functionality within the server.

1.5. TheoTown Server #

For the TheoTown server specifically, Pidroid automatically translates messages for moderation purposes and caches the translated results. Pidroid also stores user-submitted suggestions within the TheoTown server, which may be utilized by game developers.

2. Data Retention and Deletion #

2.1. Data Retention #

The collected data is primarily used to facilitate Pidroid’s functionality and is stored as long as necessary for these purposes. In the case of command invocations, most data is retained in memory only for the duration required to complete the requested operation. In addition, some data will be stored in memory as cache to avoid excessive calls to Discord API.

2.2. Third-Party Sharing #

I do not share any user data collected by Pidroid with third parties. Your information is solely used for the operation of Pidroid’s functionalities.

2.3. Open Source Nature #

Pidroid is an open-source bot, and its source code is publicly available. This means that anyone can review the code, including the data handling practices, by accessing the bot’s source code repository.

2.4. Data Deletion Requests #

Due to the nature of the data collected and its strict necessity for Pidroid’s functioning, I do not entertain explicit data deletion requests. However, please note that the data collected is limited to what is strictly required or anonymized, and I prioritize user privacy and data protection.

3. Security #

I am committed to maintaining the security of your information and take appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of data. While I strive to protect your personal information, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure.

4. Compliance with Discord’s Privacy Policy #

Pidroid’s data collection, usage, and storage practices align with Discord’s privacy policy. I encourage you to review Discord’s privacy policy to understand how your data is handled within the Discord platform.

5. Updates to this Privacy Policy #

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify users of any significant changes by posting the revised policy on the Pidroid website or through other appropriate means. It is recommended that you review this Privacy Policy periodically.

6. Contact Us #
